d24da8ec 1Revision history for MooseX-Types-Structured

51bdaa9a 30.23 01 july 2010
4 - Changes to the return value of ->validate that hopefully is both
5 backwardly compatible as well as more detailed. Now if you have
6 a deeply recursive of repeated type constraints inside other
7 type constraints you will get a drill down report to show the
8 actual type constraint that failed

b5a311da 100.22 01 June 2010
11 - Added tests to demonstrate type constraint equality problem
12 introduced in Moose 1.05

8110f636 180.20 04 February 2010
19 - Add a new Map type. (Ricardo SIGNES)
20 - Properly handle Optional[] types within Tuples and Dicts.

f1288bfd 230.19 06 November 2009
68d0710b 24 - Require Devel::PartialDump 0.10 and change tests to expect the
25 correct format of error.
26
d7168e24 270.18 17 August 2009
28 - Changed the Makefile.PL to reduce dependencies not needed by users
29 that are not authors. Bumped the revision and released to clear an
30 error with cpan permissions.
31
7caf630f 320.17 12 August 2009
33 - No new functionality.
34 - Changed the way we specify dependencies in the Makefile.PL to reduce
35 the depth of the dependency chain in cases where we don't need to be
36 running the author quality tests.
37 - Some documentation tweaks.
38
11714f18 390.16 28 May 2009
40 - Fix failing tests and test warnings on MooseX::Types 0.11.
41
d0147de1 420.15 27 May 2009
43 - Change copy on license and added contributors section
44
35a21e0a 450.14 01 May 2009
46 - Use a builder instead of wrapping new to set the default structured
47 coercion (rafl).
48 - Make overflow (slurpy) type constraints introspectable and the name
49 of constraints using them reasonable (rafl).
50
aff0f2cd 510.13 25 April 2009
35a21e0a 52 - Explicitly don't inline yet another constructor to avoid
53 warnings (autarch).

35a21e0a 56 - Explicitly don't inline the constructor to avoid warnings (rafl).
57 - Pathological test cases for API methods equals, is_a_type_of and
58 is_subtype_of (rafl).
59 - significant improvements to API methods is_a_type_of, is_subtype_of
60 and equals (nothingmuch).

d716430a 620.11 06 April 2009
63 - Fixed braindead bug in the way I override ->validate, which caused
eabdd6a5 64 valiate to never correctly pass a constraint.
65
7559b71f 660.10 02 April 2009
67 - Minor documentation grammar fixes and one major example error fixed
68 - Much improved error reporting. Now we return the 'internal' error
69 that kicked a validation failure. It's still best to use this for
70 debugging rather than for actual user error messages, since I think
71 we are rapidly approaching a need for Moose constraints needing more
72 in the error and message reporting.
73 - Documentation for the above.
0e914b09 740.09 07 March 2009
75 - I guess we don't support the "subtype MyType, [TypeConstraint]" syntax
76 anymore. Changed the recursion test to reflect that, which should fix
77 my 100% fail rate :)
d54624ea 780.08 06 March 2009
79 - New Feature: slurpy method for when you want a structured type
80 constraint that allows trailing arguments of indeterminate length.
81 Please see the documentation and the '11-overflow.t' test for more.
82 - Documentation for above as well as a bunch of POD cleanups, spell
83 checks and improvements to formatting.
84 - Stevan Little submitted a sweet update to the '10-recursion.t' test
85 that blows my mind. Will probably form the core of a to be done set
86 of cookbook style PODs. Worth looking at.
87 - First step at improving the error message you get when validation
88 fails. A full error stacktrace is not in this release, but you now
89 at least get to see part of the offending value.
90
8885cba0 910.07 09 December 2008
92 - Fixed typo in previous changelog
93 - documentation improvements and updates
94 - increased version requirement for MooseX::Types so that we can take
95 advantage of the recursion support added.
96 - added test for recursion.
97
980.06 06 December 2008
dd8c991f 99 - Added a 'helper' type constraint called Optional. See docs for more.
3108fd7b 100 - added lots of tests to cover the API better, coverage and fixes for
d8547fef 101 the ->parameterize method in particular have been clarified.
dd8c991f 102 - changes so that the type contraints are more forgiving when null
103 values appear in method calls.
3108fd7b 104 - used ->make_immutable which should speed up the constraints.
105 - removed some unnecessary calls to use Moose when I wasn't using Moose.
d8547fef 106 - lots of little code cleanup work and more internal documentation.
107 - This version requires a newer Moose than previous versions. The
22727dd5 108 Makefile.PL has been updated to reflect this. This is a required
109 update.

d87e8b74 1110.05 08 November 2008
112 - Fixed some wackiness in the documentation.
eabdd6a5 113
98336987 1140.04 07 November 2008
115 - Bumped minimum required versions of Moose and MooseX-Types to solve
116 problem with overloading and type constraint names (issue resolved
d8547fef 117 in Moose code.)
98336987 118 - Changed the way the required Perl version string is used to increase
119 compatibility and lowered minimum required Perl
120
59deb858 1210.03 29 October 2008
122 - Fixed incorrect Perl version string (rafl)
123 - hide the meta classes from pause. This should clarify which POD is
124 the right one to read and also I want to discourage people from
125 subclassing that stuff since it will probably change
126 - various documentation cleanup
127 - new test 'example.t' with runable versions of the code in the example
128 POD section.
eabdd6a5 129
af1d00c9 1300.02 28 October 2008
fe1fd33c 131 - cleared up some typos in the test suite
af1d00c9 132 - Fixed some POD formatting issues, mostly some dumb tabs I ended up
133 with when I switched editors. Added a bit more documentation
eabdd6a5 134
16aea7bf 1350.01 27 October 2008
af1d00c9 136 - Completed basic requirements, documentation and tests.
