   4         - This release moves the restarter functionality into a new
   5           module Catalyst::Restarter, that is not a Catalyst Engine
   6           subclass.

   8           The new restarter is simpler and more reliable, because it
   9           does not try to test if a changed piece of code can be
  10           compiled. It simply restarts the server whenever it detects
  11           changes. This also makes it much faster.

  13           However, this does mean that the server can simply die when
  14           a changed file cannot compile. This is different than the
  15           old behavior, where the server remained running without
  16           incorporating the change.

  18           Finally, the new restarter relies on File::ChangeNotify,
  19           which is designed to accomodate per-OS methods of detecting
  20           changed files. As of this writing, it currently ships with a
  21           file watcher that uses inotify on Linux systems, and a
  22           default fallback class that does everything in pure Perl.
