  12         - This release moves the restarter functionality into a new
  13           module Catalyst::Restarter, that is not a Catalyst Engine
  14           subclass.

  16           The new restarter is simpler and more reliable, because it
  17           does not try to test if a changed piece of code can be
  18           compiled. It simply restarts the server whenever it detects
  19           changes. This also makes it much faster.

  21           However, this does mean that the server can simply die when
  22           a changed file cannot compile. This is different than the
  23           old behavior, where the server remained running without
  24           incorporating the change.

  26           Finally, the new restarter relies on File::ChangeNotify,
  27           which is designed to accomodate per-OS methods of detecting
  28           changed files. As of this writing, it currently ships with a
  29           file watcher that uses inotify on Linux systems, and a
  30           default fallback class that does everything in pure Perl.
